Session Info

I love doing photography and am always looking for new opportunities to capture the moments of life.  My goal is to capture your family doing what you like to do, where you like to do it.    I want your family to be yourselves, interact with each other, and enjoy your favorite activities.

My Style:  I am a lifestyle and documentary photographer (learn more here), which means that I don’t do traditional posed portrait sessions.  I don’t pose families or make kids smile at me, though I can certainly take a group family picture for you during a session.  You can get a taste for my style by browsing my childhood gallery, family gallery, and past sessions.  Again, my goal is to capture your family doing what you like to do, where you like to do it.

Session Options:  I offer the following types of sessions (click on the words to learn more about each):

“Favorite Things” sessions for family activities and traditions

“Favorite Place” Lifestyle Sessions to capture outdoor locations

“Everyday Life” sessions to document family life

Newborn Sessions to capture those first fleeting days

My Fee: My session fee starts at $150 and varies slightly depending on the type of session (childhood, family, lifestyle, documentary), number of people, length and location.  The session fee includes access to an online gallery of edited, high resolution digital files and print release so that you can share and print the images for your personal use.

Locations:  I offer custom photography sessions with the goal of creating meaningful images in a way that’s flexible and fun, both for you and for me.  Sessions can take place in your home or at a favorite nearby outdoor location.  I photograph in Schenectady and Albany, New York, including the towns of Glenville, Scotia, Niskayuna, Latham, Colonie, Clifton Park, Burnt Hills, and Scotia.

More Options:  If you’re not sure if lifestyle and documentary photography is for you, a “Give it a Try” session might be the place to start.  If you are interested in doing a session but are the frugal type (like me), I sometimes offer free sessions through my Facebook page when I have ideas that I want to try or free time.  If you’re interested in hearing about these sessions, email me or find me at facebook.com/photographingthemoments.
